1. Shape

The back of the hammer crusher is relatively smooth and arc-shaped, while the back of the impact crusher is sharp and angular.
2. Structure
The impact crusher uses 2-3 cavity impact plates to adjust the gap between the blow bars of the rotor to control the discharge fineness; the hammer crushing uses the grating bars at the bottom of the screen to control the discharge fineness, and the rotor structure is the hammer head swing hammer type.
3. Applicable materials
The impact crusher can be used for high-hardness materials with a stone hardness of 300 MPa, such as granite and river pebbles; the hammer crusher is generally suitable for low-hardness stone materials with a hardness of 200 MPa, such as limestone and coal gangue.
4. Flexibility
The impact crusher can determine the size of the machine’s output particle size by adjusting the rotor speed and the moving space of the grinding chamber, etc. The flexibility is greatly improved, and the flexibility in this point is much higher than that of the hammer crusher.
5. Damage degree of wearing parts
The wear of the blow bar of the impact crusher only appears on the side facing the material. When the rotor speed is normal, the feed material will fall to the impact surface of the blow bar, and the back and side of the blow bar are not worn, even the side facing the material is less worn, and the metal utilization rate can be as high as 45%-48 %. The wear of the hammer head of the hammer crusher occurs on the upper, front, rear and side surfaces. Compared with the blow bar, the wear of the hammer head is more serious, and the metal utilization rate of the hammer head is only about 25%.
The use of impact crushers in production lines is more common, because they can handle more types of materials and the output grain shape is better, so they are mostly used in the secondary crushing link of major stone crushing and sand production. Relatively speaking, the application range of hammer crusher is a little smaller. The heavy hammer crusher has a super large feeding port, the output particle size is relatively small, and the crushing ratio is large. The crushed material does not need secondary crushing and can be formed at one time. The customer’s crushing production can only use one heavy hammer crusher, with less investment. . The two devices each have their own application fields, and the choice depends on the actual situation of the customer.
